Are Balinese Cats Hypoallergenic?

While no cat is 100% hypoallergenic, Balinese cats do not have an under-coat and therefore produce less Fel d 1 protein. As individual allergies vary, many people can tolerate a Balinese. The lack of an undercoat also means they are less prone to matting and require less grooming compared to other long-haired breeds.
